Social Responsibility

A.B.F.A, Kolkata, as a social welfare organization has always emphasized upon their responsibilities of serving the society. Members of the association have always stood beside the under privileged section of the society and have given their best efforts to serve the downtrodden through distribution of clothes, food items, academic articles and by organising free medical check-up camps.

Members of A.B.F.A, Kolkata have also taken the oath of donating blood and accordingly blood donation camps are organized every year from where a significant portion is donated in aid of THALASSAEMIC children. Members of the association have also felt the dire need of maintaining a healthy environment and like wise, have engaged themselves in plantation of trees in huge numbers, maintenance of parks and other necessary activities for curbing pollution and maintaining ecological balance.

With The Blessings Of Daa And Jaya Maa #ABFAKOLKATA Members Today Performed Puja At Kalighat Temple For The Prosperous And Healthy Life Of Jaya Maa. 102 Needy People Were Fed Food And The Joy In Their Eyes And Blessings On Their Lips Gives Meaning To Our Efforts.

Members of ABFA, KOLKATA express sincere gratitude to Mr. Swapan Banerjee (Babun Da), President, KALIGHAT SPORTS LOVERS’ ASSOCIATION for felicitating Sanjay Patodiya on the auspicious 23rd JAN’18 at KHUDIRAM ANUSHILAN KENDRA. The members of #ABFAKOLKATA also participated in the rally which was organised as a call to the people for blood donation & attended the blood donation camp where 1801 units of blood was collected. #ABFAKOLKATA supported the noble cause on this very special day.

Children’s day celebration, 2016

Children’s day is celebrated in India on 14th November every year to commemorate the birth anniversary of Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru. On this very special day, the members of the association have embarked on the project “BARNAPARICHAY” – an initiative to illuminate the lives of the deprived children with the light of education (academic session to commence from JAN’2017). The underprivileged children of the orphanage “ECI HAPPY HOME”(students of NALTA MAHAJATI SCHOOL) have come under the purview of this welfare project. The members distributed
academic kits, blankets among the children . A magic show was organised much to the delight of the children. Respected Chairman of DumDum Municipality and many other distinguished personalities graced the occasion with their august presence. Apart from ensuring the right to basic education, adequate measures are also being taken to guide & render support to the children for holistic development. We, all at ABFA once again pledge to surge forward with this noble mission with utmost dedication & positivity.

A.B.F.A in association with Purvanchal Vijaywargia (Vaishya) Samaj organised a special show of “SATYAGRAHA” in aid of “Himalayan Tsunami” victims in UTTARAKHAND on 1st Sept, 2013 in Menoka Cine House – KOLKATA.

The members had succeeded in collecting a sum of R.s – 200000/- (Two Lakh Only) and draft of the same was sent to ‘PEOPLES SCIENCE INSTITUTE- UTTRAKHAND’.

Members of the association had travelled all the way to MUMBAI to seek the demi god’s blessings before sending the draft . Amitji reciprocated by meeting and blessing the members on the set of KBC – 6th Sept 2013. He also encouaged to carry on with such noble social activities.
